I am a specialist in pediatric and adult nephrology. I am originally from Southern California and received my medical education at University of California San Diego. During medical school, I became interested in the transitional care of adolescents with chronic illness and decided to pursue a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at University of Southern California. After residency, I came to UCSF to pursue combined training in adult and pediatric nephrology. My research currently focuses on understanding the optimal blood pressure targets for adolescents and young adults at elevated cardiovascular risk. I am also interested in the transitional care of adolescents and young adults with chronic illnesses. I currently care for patients in the Madison Clinic with blood pressure and kidney-related sequelae of their diabetes.
