Monica Mueller is a pediatric nurse who provides case management and diabetes education for children and young adults with diabetes and their families.
Mueller earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from California State University, East Bay, and then completed her clinical training at Children's Hospital Oakland, now UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland. Before joining UCSF, she worked as a school nurse for the Mount Diablo Unified School District. She has a master of physical therapy degree from the joint program of UCSF and San Francisco State University. In her previous work as a physical therapist, she primarily treated children with neuromuscular impairments.
Mueller volunteers with several organizations serving people with diabetes, including Diabetes Youth Families Bearskin Meadow Camp, Dogs for Diabetics and RotaCare Bay Area.
In her free time, Mueller enjoys biking and hiking with her husband, cooking for friends, traveling, and tending to her garden and chickens.
